Who am I?
I am a photographer,
inspired by light,
stirred by moments of stunning beauty, drama, and life.
I am euphoric when I capture these moments.
What do I do?
I capture real life images that are artistic, and moments that grab the attention of
Most of my work is done in available light. I do this to help keep the actual act of
shooting images less intrusive to the subject. I believe this helps me capture
more authentic moments.
If need be, I am fully capable of using additional lighting to enhance the subject
matter. Either way, you will like the results.
I can shoot both digital and film. I am very skilled in Photoshop, and can deliver raw files or finished files in any format you like.
Where have I been?
Before traveling on assignments for various clients to Europe, Asia, South Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and North America, I was a newspaper photojournalist. I began my career as a staff photographer for the Missoulian newspaper in Missoula, Montana. After five years there, I then joined The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon, where I worked as a staff photographer for two years.
For those interested in academic credentials, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Photojournalism from Oregon State University, and an MBA from the University of Oregon.
What have I photographed?
For the last fifteen years I have been shooting a variety of assignments for clients such as Nike, Manchester United, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, the University of Oregon, the United States Tennis Association, and NFL Properties. My personal projects include a collaboration with LUCITÀ Images on a three-week documentary shoot in India and Thailand in 2005 to capture the reconstruction efforts of communities impacted by the Asian tsunami of 2004.
Why hire me?
What do I do for fun?
When I am not out capturing images, you can find me on many of Oregon’s wild and scenic rivers fly fishing for steelhead or trout, or telemark skiing the mountains of the wonderful Pacific Northwest.
